Kishimoto has said he couldn't write Sakura well because he had no idea how to write women. He eventually gets better at writing them but a lot of people think he didn't improve much. When Kishimoto handed the reigns of the follow up series Boruto to his assistant, he brought about better female writing and women's arcs...save for one... or two ... were much improved. Won't say anything beyond that. Kishimoto is currently back writing the Boruto spin-off after he took over for his assistant, is he better at writing females? I dunno, I haven't read the manga past where the show is.

Naruto turned 16 when I turned 16 (in the manga, not the anime) so it was like I grew up alongside Naruto, which is one of my reasons for loving it. It's also the series that made me who I am in spirit, but not necessarily how I am in anything other than that... I have no real talent in anything, I can't do anything I set my mind at doing and I have no power to affect anything. But my moral compass was formed around Naruto and it bothers me when people who grew up watching or reading it don't live up to it's lessons.

Really wish I could see S2 and the movie, but I guess I'll hold off due to not having crunchyroll. I binge watched the 1st season on Sunday to ignore a heartbreaking moment in my life (I had to give up 2 cats I was taking care of for the better part of 2 years) and I was not taking it well for 2-3 days I've been upset and needed a good escape so I started Jujutsu Kaisen. Then I binge watched this season AGAIN with your reactions and all this has been helping me cope with the sadness I'd been feeling, so thanks a lot and I'll be sure to check out other series reactions to ones I had the opportunity to finish myself.
